Rock Crawling on Black Friday

Today I was saved from the madness of "Black Friday" and Mike & I went Rock Crawling. It was a bit cold but tons of fun. The pictures don't do it justice. There were 12 rock crawling like vehicles and we went up through this trail past Lehi called Snakes. Being this is only the 2nd time I have gone I really am not down with the "lingo" but it is fun! I had to get out of the rock crawler a few time and just watch, kind of a wimp (who values her life, hehe).

Thanksgiving!

Ethan loved the puppies, and they loved him!

Ethan made a friend, Tannen. E shared his truck and pushed him all over the house.

First Thanksgiving meal!

What is Thanksgiving w/out football. E Dog & Mike Mike watched football all day.
Thursday was Ethan's first Thanksgiving as well as the first Thanksgiving for Mike & I since we have been together. It was the best Thanksgiving I have ever had. We spent the day over at Lynette's (Mike's Dad, Mike, Girlfiend). She made a wonderful dinner and we of course ate way too much. We then went over to Mike's Mom's (Becky) house. She has 4 new puppies and Ethan absolutely loved playing with them.
I have so many things to be thanksful for this year. I am first and foremost thankful for a happy and healthy baby. Second I am thankful that Mike has come into our lives. As most of you already know he is amazing with Ethan and makes me incredibly happy. I am then thankful for today's medical technology that is going to help my brother who was recently diagnosed with cancer. My family is so much closer then we have ever been. Everyone seems to have it together, no matter the challenges handed to them, and we laugh and smile more then we ever have.
Happy Thanksgiving!

This is Ethan's 'Are we really at Target again' face. Isn't is adorable. :)

The first step is admitting you have a problem...

I am ready to admit here openly to all that I have a Facebook addiction. Today I joined a group on Facebook called "Facebook Addiction 12 Step Program." Please cross your pretty little fingers that it will help me.

If you have an addiction to Facebook and need help checkout Facebook groups... there are many channels for support.

Burrrr!

Burrrr! It may not look cold out side, but it is chilly!

My Brother

Ethan with his Uncle Michael

The past three weeks have been the scariest three weeks my family has ever faced. My Brother Michael was diagnosed with cancer. He has had surgery and is beginning his treatment. I have waited to blog about this because I couldn't accept this was happening to someone in my family, especially Michael.

Last night I got to speak with him for the first time since we all found out. Expecting to answer the phone and hear the same strong man I saw in September I was shocked when he sounded differen't. I think I described it best in an email I sent to him this morning, he sounded like the strongest man I know putting up the fight of his life.

The reality has hit me now. What my Brother is facing is extremely serious and scary. I have posted the link above to his blog. You can read his story and see his guestbook of all the lives he has touched. I post this because I need everyone I know to be sending Michael & his family positive thoughts and energy. Please include him in your prayers.

Ethan's 1st Hair Cut!

This week we took Ethan to get his first hair cut. He looks like such a little stud now. Instantly he changed from my little baby to my little boy! There were no tears and he sat very still. Thanks Mike's Golden Spike (Barber Shop).

Bonk!! (Another 1st)

Ethan has become fearless and with that sometimes comes injury.... Today he obtained his first head bonk that left a beautiful bump right on the side of his head. Don't worry he is tough, almost didn't cry at all ;)

A Day @ The Zoo!

On the 18th of October we took Ethan to his first trip to the Zoo. It took me forever to get the pictures off the camera. We had a lot of fun (as usual)!

Saturday = Football Day

Saturday Mike & I took Ethan to see 3 seperate football games. We went to see KJ & Jaron (Mike's Nephews) play then we went to the Weber State game. It was a really great day. There is no doubt about it that Ethan will be a big sports fan!

Oh... We Love Fall!

Last week Ethan & I got an itch to enjoy the fall weather. We went for a walk, admired our pumpkins, and took some fantastic pictures!
