So this update is really no update at all. With the pregnancy, work & school (preparing for baby), and life in general I have had no time to update the blog. I am really hoping to get to it very soon. Everyone here is doing awesome! We are so busy living life, I don't have time to blog about it (haha). Ethan is growing and staying pretty healthy. Mike has started the Kiowa course and is doing awesome. More updates to come so stay tuned :)

RC'ing
As most of you know Michael Loves his RCs! He build them, flies them, crashes them, and starts all over again. It is a fun hobby for him and Ethan & I enjoy seeing him fly. Recently Michael got an injury :( No big deal, all in the name of a good RC plane!

On a less graphic note... Our dog, Ace, and new kitty, Lucy, love each other. How many dogs will share their bone with a cat?!?

Mike put the bed liner and roll cage in the Bronco!

Ethan got a kitty cat, Lucy!
Ethan got a bike!

I ran a 5k!

Ethan is going to his very first summer day camp!

Family Vacation - Orlando 2010
This month we went to Orlando, FL for our BIG family vacation. It was so much fun. We went to Sea World, Disney World, and had tons of fun at the pool. We are going back in August for a few days before Mike starts the OH-58 (Kiowa) course.

Milestones: The first ultrasound and making it though the first trimester.

Maquet Family Update!
Mike....
Mike has 3 days left of this first part of flight school. All the hard work for the past 6 months all comes to a head right now and Mike's aviation career is decided. He has been doing absolutely incredible and is at the top of his class. This definately helps come Wednesday when he gets to choose his airframe. Taking into consideration the mission and helicopter Mike has chosen Kiowas are the only helicopter for him. He is totally going to get them! So excited for him. WIll keep you updated. On top of flight school he has been satisfying his hobbies with working on his RC planes (super manly nerd)!
E Dog....
Ethan has been going through a treatment called Rituximab, which is a chemo therapy. Tomorrow we have his 2nd and hopefully last infusion. His Rheum is optimistic that this will cure Ethan of his HSP. Which as you all know would be a huge blessing. It was this time last year Ethan was getting out of the hospital after 2 weeks in the PICU. He is doing so good and the Ritux seems to be doing the trick.
Ali....
I am on track to graduate with from grad school before the holidays. It is a lot of work but have to finish before the baby arrives. Work is going good and the boys keep me super busy.
This weekend my Aunt Sarah Ann & Uncle Larry were here visiting and we absolutely loved had some family in town. Next weekend we are headed to Orlando for 5 days. Life is so good!

Monthly Pregnancy Update - 8 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: OMG I do not even want to tell you... I have gained about 5lbs already. Yeah I know, just smile and tell me if it is ok. That is what everyone else is doing ;)
Maternity clothes? Last month I reported I was excited to be to the point of needing maternity clothes... I LIED! Tomorrow I will be 9 weeks and here I am in maternity clothes. I guess I forgot that my butt is the first thing to get pregnant.
Stretch marks? Nada. I am working very hard to maintain the great recovery I did on the last ones and to prevent new ones.
Sleep: I am sleeping great for like 4 hours at night then the rest of the night is more frustrating then anything. Naps during the day would be awesome but as a FT Mom, FT student, FT career woman, and FT Wife naps are just not in my stars.
Best moment this week: Two things... #1 Mike coming to my first doctors appointment and #2 Having someone recognize I was pregnant at the grocery store. She even knew I was really early and gave me credit for this being child #2. That lady probably has no clue but she made me feel so much better that day because I have been so self concious. (Ah jeez I got teary eyed writing that, HORMONES!)
Movement: Still too soon for that but I read I will feel it earlier with this one then I did with Ethan. Can't wait.
Cravings: Fruit and anything sweet. Fruit & Yogurt parfaits from McDonalds are high on the list.
Gender: I am now feeling like it is a girl.
Labor Signs: N/A
Belly Button in or out: No belly button change yet. Well it had got weird, like a frowny face (lol) but still a normally belly button.
What I miss: My JEANS!
What I am looking forward to: Our first ultrasound in 3 weeks.
How is Dad: The most understanding and patient man in the entire world. I am so hormonal and unreasonable and he plays it off like no big deal. He even goes out of his way to snap me out of it and I love him so much for that!
How is Big Brother: Ethan now understands there is a baby in a belly. However, he thinks the baby is in his belly and it is so stinkin cute! LOL! He is going to be an amazing big brother.
Milestones: First doctors appointment and picking out names, Evelyn Rebecca for a girl and Evan Michael for a boy. We still reserve the right to change the names at any point before the baby arives. Although we have decided we are sticking with names that begin with the letter E.
Thoughts: Trying to accept my quickly changing body, beyond excited about everything we still have to experience, and trying to control mood swings along with food cravings.
Next time I report we will be through the 1st trimester and I will begin to share pics! Woo!

Monthly Pregnancy Update!
I am going to staty doing a pregnancy update every 4 weeks. Let everyone know how we are doing and I will post a pic of my soon to be ever growing belly. I took the idea from my friend Kayla who is due in June, so thank you Kayla!
How far along? 4 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: 0lbs. I am only 4 weeks.
Maternity clothes? Not yet but very excited to be to that point.
Stretch marks? Unfortunately if you are going to get stretchmarks there is nothing you can do to prevent them, but you can make them not be as bad. I got them with Ethan so the ones I have will be ugly and I am sure new ones will arrive. A little plastic surgery will take care of all of that when this is done :)
Sleep: Super sleepy but have way too much to do to take naps. Sleeping great at night though.
Best moment this week: Telling Mike we are pregnant. His immediate reaction and the following days was perfect. He is perfect!
Movement: Too soon for that but I am excited for when it happens.
Cravings: Nothing, just eating everything in sight. I am a bottomless pit and it is super annoying.
Gender: We are hoping for a boy but of course just want a healthy baby.
Labor Signs: N/A
Belly Button in or out: No changes to the belly yet, so in.
What I miss: This is terrible to say but I miss alcohol & coffee. I would much rather have a healthy baby though so I am not missing it that much.
What I am looking forward to: Making it through the next 8 weeks.
How is Dad: Still in shock but so excited. It blows his mind that I am pregnant and having real pregnancy symptoms.
How is Big Brother: Ethan doesn't understand yet but will by the time his little brother or sister arrives. He loves babies so I know he will be an awesome big brother.
Milestones: Telling Mike & our families we are pregnant!
Thoughts: It is very exciting for me to join my friends in pregnancy world. There are so many that are pregnant and it is going to be so fun to share this with them. I am really loving the fact that my sister & I are 6 months apart so our kiddos will be close in age.

Another Air Show!
This one was so much better then the last one. We spent the whole day, 8 to 5, and loved it tons! We all got burnt to a crisp, especially stubborn Michael who would not wear sunscreen. Apparently he is now truly apart of this ginger family ;) We had a blast.

Strawberry Farm
Another Fabulous Friday event hosted by Ethan's school. This month we went to the strawberry fields, it was so much fun. All the kids got a bucket, picked their own strawberries (only the red ones), and there was homemade ice cream. Fun fun day!
Another 5k!
This past weekend I did another 5k. My friend Stefanie and her mother-in-law Susan came. it was Susan's first 5k so we were all very excited. It was kind of funny because there were maybe 10 runners and it was super unorganized. In the end we got cool tshirts and it was for charity!
